This is recorded video of the 1987 “Max Headroom Incident” in Chicago. Two broadcast television shows were interrupted in one night by pirates who overrode signals with footage of someone wearing a Max Headroom mask, spouting hard to comprehend nonsense, then holding up what appears to be a sex toy and bending over to get their derriere punished by a fly swatter.

With Wikileaks in the news, the new Banksy movie coming out, and reading up on classic culture jamming incidents like this, I’m constantly reminded that I need to really push my book, Nomad X.
